This stealthy hunter lives by the lakes, where he waits patiently for the right prey. A wave on the surface of the water is enough for him to know what kind of creature is swimming underneath, but he doesn’t go for the first potential victim - He will have nothing but the perfect meal.

Role: Denier

Overview

Predagelum is a Nature denier not to be confused with Predaking, the worst MLCW admin of all time. Now, there's a reason he's in D+tier, because there's literally one good thing about him. Yes, one. If you're trying to deny Predagelum, just pretend that he has Cooldown Immunity in his trait as well, due to his moves have little to no cooldowns. His highest one is 1 CD, meaning that he'll bounce back easily from CDA. However, that's it. No, like seriously, that's it. Firstly, before we get into his cons (and there are tons of them), consider the fact that there are better deniers than him. For example, consider Warmaster Thalassa. Like Predagelum, she mainly uses Freeze to deny. Unlike Predagelum, she has a fantastic Trait and stats, has a broken movepool which contains an AoE PER + TD + AoE Mega Freeze, has access to PER, and has FOUR Mega Freeze skills. Compare that to Predagelum, who has a mediocre Trait, bad stats, a bland movepool with nothing special, has no PER, and has three Freeze skills, one of which only lands 50% of the time. In addition to that, his stamina costs are high, even for Mythic standards. His sole AoE Freeze move has no other effect and requires 52 stamina! Expect to constantly waste Predagelum's turns just recharging due to his high-stamina skills. That is, if he can even get a turn, considering his Speed and Life. In addition, he only uses Freeze to deny, meaning that monsters that have Freeze Immunity (or traits that just protect against Freeze) can render him basically useless. His movepool consists of a few damaging moves, Freeze, and Daze. There's literally nothing special about it! His Life makes him very, VERY squishy, meaning that the Trap relic won't be very useful, seeing as they require the monster to be damaged to be activated. And finally, his mediocre Trait means that he's easily denied. Overall, Predagelum, while not as bad as the Wiki Admin he's named after, is still absolute garbage and is THE WORST Legendary Denier in the entire game. If you're given a choice between Bonnie Bark and this guy, choose Bonnie Bark.

Pros:

  • Little to no cooldowns

Cons:

  • Outdated stats
  • Mediocre trait
  • High stamina costs on his moves
  • Freezing Ambush costs 52 Stamina!
  • Has ONE form of Denial, which isn't even that good, meaning he can’t chain deny
  • Trap isn't very good with his poor Life stat
  • Bad movepool
  • Easily denied due to his trait
  • Mask Relic slot is useless due to his actual denying move(s) dealing no damage
  • Becomes useless against monsters with ITC / Freeze Immunity / Artifact / Spirit
  • Outclassed by better Deniers with more variety in their denying options
  • No PER or Trait Disable in movepool

Recommended Moveset

Great Fish Sticks!

  • Freezing Ambush (AoE Freeze, 52s, 1 CD)
  • Freeze Trap (Freeze, 35s, 1 CD)
  • Bestial Shock / Fast Claws (Shock for AoE 40 Nature dmg + Daze, 39s, 0 CD) / (Claws for AoE 45 Nature dmg, 41s, 0 CD)
  • Limb Fracture / Hunter Claws (Fracture for 40 Nature dmg + Daze, 32s, 0 CD) / (Claws for 50 Nature dmg, 31s, 0 CD)

Recommended Runes: 3 Speed

Recommended Relics: Fury Mask, Jasastur's Mask; Nabuline's Trap, Mantis Claws Trap

For whatever reason, if you're using Predagelum, your main goal is to outspeed and then Freeze, while then damaging the enemy with your low-cooldown moves. Start with Freezing Ambush to AoE Freeze, then use one of your AoEs. If you want to AoE Daze the enemy, then choose Bestial Shock. If you want to deal more damage, choose Fast Claws. In addition, Limb Fracture can deal 40 Nature damage as well as Daze the enemy, and Hunter Claws is a hard-hitting move that also has the lowest stamina cost of any of his good moves. Freeze Trap is for a quick Freeze, though there's not much reason you would use it over Freezing Ambush. So, your turn order should look like this:

  • Freezing Ambush
  • Damaging Move

Rinse and repeat.

Counters

  • A good Fire attacker like Nitroblaster can send this garbage excuse of a Legendary monster back home.
  • It doesn't even have to be a good Attacker or a Fire one, as Predagelum's fragile appearance is literal. Nebotus could destroy Predagelum in a fight, as Predagelum doesn't have the ability to chain-deny.
  • Freeze-immune monsters like Polaris Sea or Voytek can resist Predagelum's only form of denying. Sure, Predagelum has Daze, but that doesn't really matter that much, especially because not much damage needs to be done to take Predagelum out of the battle.
  • Predagelum's Trait is just a small umbrella Trait, so any Denier can stop him, as long as they don't use CDA as a method of denying. Even Predagelum could freeze himself before the enemy Predagelum starts moving.
  • Stamina Drain is highly effective against Predagelum because of his high stamina costs.Zimnyaya or Wangzhou can outspeed Predagelum and force him to just recharge until he dies.
  • NER can get rid of Predagelum's attempts at denying your team. Saika, for example, not only has access to NER, but she can also give Control Immunity to your team, shutting down Freeze attempts. In addition, Saika's speed is great and she also has Freeze Immunity as a trait, meaning that she'll be able to get a turn in before Predagelum and prevent this washed-up excuse of a monster from doing anything.
  • If all else fails, just use Dodge Area to stop him. Predagelum has some nasty AoE damage, which can be unexpected. To counter this, just bring any Dodge Area monster to stop him from doing anything and force him to use only his single moves.
  • If you don't have anything to counter him, just ignore Predagelum's existance. His garbage stats mean that you'll probably accidently kill him using your Attacker's AoE move(s).
